Presenting: Planning and Deploying MOSS in a Virtual Server Development Environment

Dale has worked in the IT industry for over 40 years as a requirements analyst, trainer, and technology integrator.

When IBM built the IBM 360 and implemented VM/CMS he was a VM system programmer and designed novel virtualization configurations for Boeing Commercial Aircraft Company (BCAC) and Litton Computer Services (LCS).

Formerly Technical Director for CAP Gemini America, Sogeti, Webmaster for the Bureau of African Affairs and the East Asian and Pacific Affairs Bureau of the US Department of State.

Currently he is working for Twin-Soft at HQMC on a migration of V2.0 to MOSS and developing and presenting training courses for SharePoint Resources.

He holds a Master in the British Computing Society and Suma Cum Laude (B.S, Computer Information Systems) at Strayer University.

Presentation Abstract:

My session will explain for the uninitiated what a generic virtual image is, how it is used for virtualization, and discuss some of the pros and cons. It will then briefly walk attendees through a sampling of PPT decks illustrating how one VMware image is constructed. These slides have the step-by-step screen shots! Never fear, I will not "talk" to each slide but simply present the cook-book method I used to build one image, start to finish with "every" screen pictured. These decks will be available online after the conference.
