Melvin Brown II possesses a Master of Science degree from George Mason University in Social and Organizational Learning and a Bachelor of Science from Strayer University in Business Administration. He is the former Program Manager for the FAA’s Knowledge Service Network’s (KSN), which is a virtual collaboration environment that allows regionally dispersed teams to collaborate over the internet 24 hrs a day 7 days a week.He has more than twenty years of responsible experience; career reflecting stability and consistent progression to Financial and Program Management positions with major corporations including 15 years of teaching and training experience. He is an adjunct professor at the University of Phoenix, where he teaches undergraduate business management and also serves as the Area Chair for Business Management in their undergraduate Business Management program.
He is a conference speaker and sought out by both government and industry as an expert in the areas of program management, knowledge management and training. He has developed several change management strategies for collaboration and is the recipient of the America Council for Technology, Industry Advisory Council’s, 2007 Excellence in Government award.
Before joining the Federal Government, Melvin held various consultant positions within the Washington DC are where he provided financial and program management support to various government organizations. Melvin also served eight years as an Administrative Chief in the United States Marine Corp, where he received numerous awards and commendations.
