Presenting : Data Integration Toolset and SharePoint
Michael DiCarlo has worked for companies such as UUNet/Worldcom, Verizon, Monster Worldwide and Freddie Mac in a number of positions. These include application developer, business analyst, project manager, pre-sales consultant, and technical sales. His specialties include business process management, data integration, project management, and consulting. Mr. DiCarlo has worked with SharePoint for over three years, and currently works for CorasWorks managing sales and pre-sales activities for the Mid Atlantic region.Presentation Abstract:
Believe it or not, all enterprise data does not reside in SharePoint. And organizations certainly don’t want to move it there either. There has to be an easier way than the BDC to connect to external data and bring it into SharePoint for custom displays, to create SharePoint-based applications, and/or manipulate and work with it. The CorasWorks Data Integration Toolset consists of web parts to connect to and display external data in SharePoint, and does not require the BDC as it works with WSS v3. This presentation will provide an overview of how easy the CorasWorks Data Integration Toolset allows users to connect to and display external data such that SharePoint can become a front-end UI to backend systems.
